Khalil al-Rahman Haqqani, the acting minister of refugee affairs of the "Taliban" movement, said that Russia, the US, and NATO member countries played a role in the fall of the Afghan government, Etilaatroz reports.
At the meeting in Paktia province, Haqqani demanded from those countries to pay compensation to the Afghan people due to the victims and economic losses caused by the decades-long war in Afghanistan. It was noted that Russia, the US, and NATO members have been carrying out brutal attacks using weapons in various provinces and territories of Afghanistan for decades.
A Taliban official said that compensation should be paid to the victims of these attacks. Haqqani also accused the abovementioned countries of interfering in Afghanistan's internal affairs and continuing sanctions against it.
Interestingly, Khalil al-Rahman Haqqani, the official of the "Taliban" movement who published this statement, was wanted by Washington as one of the most dangerous terrorists in 2001. At that time, the American side said that it was ready to pay $5mn for information about his whereabouts.
