Tour operators, hotels and carriers in Uzbekistan will be granted customs privileges when importing motor vehicles manufactured no more than 5 years ago starting from April 1, the president's press secretary reports.
At the meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, information was provided about the works to be carried out in the field of railway and road transport.
According to the document:
- Tenders for the purchase of 34 modern electric cars will be completed by June 1, and at least 8 will be delivered by the end of the year;
- Tour operators, hotels and carriers will be granted customs privileges for importing motor vehicles with 10 or more seats and manufactured not more than 5 years ago from April 1;
- Tourism organizations will be offered $30mn in credit resources to acquire these buses in 2023;
- Tourist minibuses (up to 15 people) will be allowed to travel through the Kamchik Pass, tourist buses and minibuses in Jizzakh Pass, Chimyon and Chorvok from April 10, following security measures.
