Kazakhstan plans to ship another 20,000 tons of oil to Germany through the "Drujba" pipeline in April, "Kommersant" reports with reference to the energy minister of the country, Bolat Akchulakov.
"The first batch of oil has already been shipped, and the second batch of oil is planned to be exported in March. We plan to send an average of 20,000 tons of oil per month. According to the plan, 20,000 tons will be produced in April as well," said Akchulakov.
According to the minister, the volume of exported oil will be 300,000 tons by the end of 2023.
On January 29, "Transneft" received a request from Kazakhstan to send oil to Germany through "Drujba".
This contract includes reserving 1.2 million tons of additional capacity for the oil pipeline in 2023.
It was planned to originally deliver 20,000 tons of oil to Germany through "Drujba" in January of this year, but later the date was moved to February.
At the end of February, Igor Demin, adviser to the president of "Transneft" (one of the operators of the pipeline), said that the company had started supplying transit oil from Kazakhstan through Russia.
The final delivery point is the Leuna and Schwedt oil refineries in Germany, which are supplied with Russian materials until the end of 2022.
