At the thirty-seventh plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the MPs discussed the amendment to law "On making additions and amendments to certain legal documents of Uzbekistan" establishing liability for leaving an Uzbek citizen-child unattended in the territory of a foreign country.
Now parents or caregivers accompanying a child who has citizenship of Uzbekistan will be fined up to 15 million soums for leaving the child unattended in the territory of a foreign country and 3 years behind bars for recurring cases.
The law was approved by senators.
