A photo exhibition entitled ‘Life is possible’ has opened in the 139 Documentary Center Gallery in Tashkent. The event is timed to coincide with World AIDS Day, Anhor reports.
Organized by Doctors Without Borders, and the Republican AIDS Center, the exhibition aims to demonstrate the evolution of the perception and treatment of HIV/AIDS, as well as to share the stories of those living with HIV in different countries of the globe. The event also explains the history of HIV diagnostics and treatment.
On December 1 everyone FROM 1 to 4 pm will have the opportunity to be tested for HIV, hepatitis C and other diseases in a mobile laboratory next to the 139 Documentary Center gallery.
As of February this year, Uzbekistan registered 45,000 people with HIV.
