Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov held a meeting his Georgian counterpart, Irakli Garibashvili. The parties discussed expediting the cooperation in politics, economy, transport, tourism and culture.
The politicians emphasized the need to effectively use the logistics centres of Uzbekistan and Georgian seaports for the export and import of goods, to provide mutual discounts and benefits for the transportation of goods, and to create a system of transport corridors connecting Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
Former Soviet states agreed to hold cultural days and conduct joint scientific and technical research.
