Uzbekistan’s international airports handled more than 7mn passengers in the first six months of 2025, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period last year, according to Uzbekistan Airports.

From January to June, total passenger traffic reached 7.059mn, with international travelers accounting for 5.8mn (82.3%) and domestic passengers totaling 1.25mn (17.7%).
The number of flights served rose by 12% year-on-year to 59,960, with international routes making up the majority, 42,407 compared to 17,553 domestic flights.
Tashkent International Airport continued to dominate the country’s aviation landscape, handling 3.96mn international and 620,600 domestic passengers. Flights to and from the capital’s airport reached 37,500 in the first half of the year, reflecting an 18% annual growth.
Uzbekistan Airports attributed the growth to an expanding route network, the addition of new destinations, and the attraction of new carriers. The number of airlines operating in the country increased to 60, including 12 charter companies.
