Uzbekistan placed 30th in the global ranking of cheapest fuel prices, according to Ranking.kz.
The average price of a liter of gasoline in Uzbekistan was recorded at $0.98, making it one of the most affordable markets among 127 countries surveyed.
Globally, the top five cheapest gasoline prices were found in Libya, Egypt, Kuwait, Algeria, and Kazakhstan. At the opposite end, the highest prices were recorded in Myanmar, Hong Kong, and Iceland.
Within the CIS region, Kazakhstan leads with the lowest average price at $0.46 per liter. It is followed by Azerbaijan ($0.67), Russia ($0.72), Belarus ($0.76), and Kyrgyzstan ($0.82). Fuel in Uzbekistan remains cheaper than in Tajikistan ($1.11), Armenia ($1.36), Ukraine ($1.38), and Moldova ($1.44).
Tashkent ranked 90th among 397 cities worldwide in terms of the cheapest fuel prices, with an average price of $0.99 per liter. Among CIS cities, the lowest fuel prices were observed in Astana, while the highest were recorded in Chisinau.
