Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Russia’s First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Kirill Lysogorsky, discussed the expansion of trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries, official channel of Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (MIIT) informs on March 4.
During the meeting, both parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding bilateral trade and strengthening industrial partnerships. Emphasis was placed on launching new joint projects and enhancing production integration between Uzbek and Russian enterprises.
According to official data, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia reached $13bn in 2025, representing an increase of 8.4% compared to the previous year. The positive trend continued in January 2026, with bilateral trade growing by 37% to $1.1bn.
The meeting also highlighted the ongoing work of the Joint Project Office and close coordination between relevant government agencies in both countries to facilitate trade and industrial cooperation.
Additionally, the parties discussed preparations for the 6th International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” scheduled to take place in Tashkent from April 20 to 22, 2026. The exhibition is expected to serve as a platform for introducing new industrial cooperation initiatives and promoting investment opportunities.
