Uzbekistan allocated more than UZS 1.1 trillion (over $93.2mn) in mortgage loan subsidies to citizens in 2026, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. During the year, 12,355 citizens received subsidies related to mortgage loans. Of the total, UZS 367bn (over $31.1mn) was allocated to cover down payments or part of the initial payment on housing purchases.
Another UZS 774.1bn (over $65.6mn)was directed toward interest payments on mortgage loans issued in previous years. In addition, UZS 19.4bn (over $1.6mn) in subsidies was allocated for targeted mortgage deposits.
Andijan region recorded the largest amount of subsidies for down payments. A total of 1,472 residents received UZS 43.8bn (over $3.7n) for this purpose. Fergana region followed with UZS 41.9bn (over $3.5mn) allocated to 1,410 people, while 1,406 residents of Namangan region received UZS 41.6bn (over $3.5mn). In Kashkadarya region, 1,260 citizens received UZS 37.5bn (over $3.1mn) in subsidies for initial mortgage payments. Tashkent recorded the lowest figure among the regions cited, with UZS 11.6bn (over $980,000) allocated to 389 people.
Applications for mortgage subsidies in Uzbekistan opened on March 16, 2026. From July 27, applications were also accepted using the unused portion of notifications issued within the established target indicators for mortgage subsidy payments.
