Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting on March 16, with a delegation from the South Korean media conglomerate Herald Media Group, led by CEO Choi Jin-young.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and organizing the Uzbekistan–Korea Business Forum. The event is planned to take place alongside the Tashkent International Investment Forum, with the participation of Herald Media Group.
According to the information provided, the forum is intended to serve as a platform for direct engagement between business communities and to contribute to the preparation of the investment agenda for the upcoming “Central Asia + Korea” summit scheduled for September, as well as for an anticipated high-level visit to Seoul. The sides discussed measures aimed at attracting Korean investors, ensuring media coverage through The Korea Herald platforms, and arranging targeted B2B and B2G meetings.
