Uzbekistan delivered humanitarian assistance to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 16, as to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The humanitarian shipment included food products such as flour, rice, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil, and canned goods. The cargo also contained medicines and medical supplies intended to support the recipient side.
The delivery was formally handed over to the Iranian side during an official ceremony. The event was attended by the Governor of Daregaz Mojtaba Bazmara, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Razavi Khorasan Province and Advisor to the Minister Ali Masumifar, and the Ambassador of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Ruzbekhani.
During the ceremony, Iranian representatives expressed appreciation on behalf of the leadership of Uzbekistan for the provided humanitarian assistance. According to the participants, the initiative reflects established cooperation between the two countries in the field of humanitarian support.
