Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Bora Kocak, Head of the Automotive Division of the Turkish holding Anadolu Group on March 11, to discuss the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current performance of SamAuto, a bus and truck manufacturer in which Anadolu Group holds a 75.2% stake. Discussions focused on prospective areas for further development, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects in the automotive sector.
Anadolu Group’s Automotive Division operates a plant in Kocaeli, Turkiye, producing buses, midibuses, and light trucks with an annual capacity of approximately 4,000 units.
The company exports its products to over 40 countries and is one of Turkiye's largest exporters of midibuses.
The meeting also covered the next steps for SamAuto’s production development, including plans to modernize the enterprise, expand production capacity, and introduce new types of vehicles.
Officials and company representatives discussed strategies to improve operational efficiency and implement production upgrades to support the company’s growth.
