Kyrgyzstan’s economy continued its upward trajectory in 2025, with GDP growth reaching 10.2% over the first 11 months, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev shared during an expanded meeting of Zhogorku Kenesh committees.
The Prime Minister noted that the country’s economy had already demonstrated sustained growth in 2024, with real GDP rising 11.5%, surpassing the initial forecast of 9%.
“Nominal GDP increased from KGS 639bn ($7.3bn) in 2020 to KGS 1.6 trillion ($18.3bn) in 2024 and is projected to reach KGS 1.8 trillion ($20.6bn) in 2025, reflecting nearly threefold economic growth in recent years,” Kasymaliev said.
According to the International Monetary Fund, Kyrgyzstan ranked among the top three countries globally in terms of real GDP growth in 2024 and is expected to lead all Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) members in 2025.
“This growth is driven by the development of construction, industry, and services, alongside increased investment in fixed assets,” he added.
Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan is set to reach a major fiscal milestone in 2025, with its consolidated budget expected to surpass KGS 1.1 trillion ($12.6 bn) for the first time.
Over the first ten months of the year, the country achieved 10% GDP growth, and according to the International Monetary Fund, it ranked among the top three globally for real GDP growth in 2024, up from a previous top-five position with 9% growth.
