636 new companies join Uzbekistan’s IT Park since start of 2025

636 new companies join Uzbekistan’s IT Park since start of 2025

Uzbekistan's IT Park has welcomed 636 new resident companies in the first five months of 2025, reflecting rapid growth in the country’s digital economy and international tech collaboration, IT Park reported.

Of these, 369 companies were registered in Tashkent, while 267 are operating in the regions. With these additions, the total number of IT Park residents has reached 2,846 as of the end of May.

A total of 284 newly registered companies, including 117 with foreign capital, plan to export services abroad. Export-oriented firms based in Tashkent expect to generate more than $46mn in export revenue, while regional exporters forecast over $31mn.

The new residents are mainly focused on four key areas of the tech economy. These include 142 companies offering IT services, of which 72 involve foreign participation; 87 companies engaged in business process outsourcing (BPO), including 19 with foreign capital; 33 firms providing service solutions, 16 of which are foreign-backed; and 22 companies specializing in game development and creative industries, with 10 having foreign investment.

Between January and May, 164 companies with foreign capital joined IT Park. The park’s international presence expanded to 61 countries, including new participants from Jordan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, and Norway. The number of Japanese resident companies doubled, while Chinese residents grew by 71%, Turkish by 133%, and Azerbaijani by 67%, indicating strong regional interest and deepening global ties.

In May alone, 116 new companies became residents of IT Park. Of these, 51 are export-oriented and include 22 with foreign capital. The new residents represent countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Jordan, Romania, Spain, Iran, and Pakistan. Their areas of business include 23 companies working in BPO and related services, 17 developing IT products, 7 offering general IT services, and 4 focused on creative industries.

Furthermore, 17 companies received export-oriented resident status at IT Park’s regional branches in May, including 7 with foreign capital. These new regional entrants are expected to create over 235 jobs and generate exports exceeding $2.6mn.

Some of the notable foreign companies that recently joined IT Park include Osystems (Spain and Jordan), Fortis Instruments South (France), Hucorp Global (South Korea), Euroanswer (Romania), and Unitlab AI (USA). Their participation further enhances Uzbekistan’s vision to become a leading digital and outsourcing hub in Central Asia.
