A trade house of Uzbekistan has opened in Lahore, Pakistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan announced. This initiative aims to strengthen direct trade ties and cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries.

The trading house in Lahore will showcase a variety of Uzbek products including dried fruits, leather goods, yarn, medicines and medical supplies, chemicals, and other key exports. It is expected to serve as a hub for Pakistani businesses to explore and engage with Uzbek goods more easily.
This development comes ahead of a scheduled business forum between Uzbek and Pakistani businessmen set for June 25 in Karachi.
The forum follows a previous event held in Tashkent in late February, where both sides agreed to hold such business gatherings regularly—at least twice a year—to deepen commercial ties and encourage broader business participation.
Growing Uzbekistan-Pakistan Economic Cooperation
Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan continues to grow with new projects involving companies such as Pak Merit, Diamond Group, Silk-way, Getz Pharma, Herbion, and NLC. The two countries have also expanded their transport and logistics collaboration significantly. Cargo transportation volume between Uzbekistan and Pakistan has increased fivefold in recent years.
To further enhance trade and logistics cooperation, plans are underway to establish a joint transport and logistics company. This will streamline goods movement and strengthen economic linkages.
Uzbekistan's move to open a trade house in Lahore complements the existing Pakistani Trade House in Tashkent, which was set up to promote bilateral trade and economic relations.
