Uzbek snipers secured the first place and gold medals at the 5th international competition titled “The Most Advanced Sniper Team,” the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan announced.

The event took place from May 5 to 16 at the "Commando" mountain training center in Isparta, Turkey, bringing together 48 teams from 15 countries including Uzbekistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Italy, the UAE, and Kuwait.

Participants competed under about 15 challenging conditions designed to test their skills to the fullest. These included tasks such as shooting at high angles, firing while wearing gas masks, shooting from awkward fortifications at unknown distances, firing behind obstacles, shooting from helicopters in flight, defending islands and firing from boats, approaching targets stealthily, running 5 km with a load and firing cold barrel shots, night firing at unknown distances, and surprise challenges.

The Uzbek Ministry of Defense team claimed the honorable first place and was awarded gold medals for their outstanding performance.
This was the fourth time Uzbekistan’s team participated in the competition held in Turkey. They earned second place in the 2022–2023 competition and improved to first place in 2024–2025.
Earlier in March 2025, Uzbek military personnel also won the “Most Advanced Warrior-2025” competition in the United States, setting record results and demonstrating the growing strength and professionalism of Uzbekistan’s armed forces.
