Uzbekistan Airways has announced mandatory changes to several international flight routes due to temporary restrictions in the airspace near the Pakistan-India border.

According to the airline’s press service, the changes affect routes connecting Tashkent with Delhi, Mumbai, Lahore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Phuket, as well as return flights from those destinations. As a result, passengers may experience extended flight times—by an average of 1.5 hours or more in some cases.
The airline emphasized that passenger safety remains the top priority.
“We understand how important it is for our passengers to have a clear schedule and reliable travel, and we are doing everything we can to ensure stable flights, regardless of external factors,” the company said in a statement.
Flights from Tashkent to Lahore were canceled on May 8–9 due to instability in the region. Uzbekistan Airways also noted that it is adjusting other routes across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions in response to the evolving situation.
If a flight is canceled, affected passengers will have the option to rebook for a later date without penalties or request a full refund.
The airline has urged travelers to monitor the latest flight updates and plan their trips with additional time—especially for connecting flights or important commitments.
