Azimut Hotels, a prominent Russian hotel chain, has recently inaugurated a new 4-star hotel in the heart of Tashkent, situated on Shota Rustaveli Street. This development marks the chain's entry into the Uzbekistan market, driven by substantial demand for quality hospitality services in the region. According to reports from RBC, the hotel spans an expansive area of 3,300 square meters and features a range of amenities catering to both business and leisure travelers.
The newly opened hotel boasts 50 elegantly designed rooms across various categories. Key facilities include onsite parking, a restaurant capable of seating 100 patrons, a fully equipped fitness club, and a conference room. Azimut Hotels will manage the property, indicating that ownership remains separate from operational management under the company's oversight.
Alexander Klyachin, the businessman behind Azimut Hotels, affirmed the decision to establish a presence in Uzbekistan as part of broader strategic expansion plans across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Plans include launching additional hotels categorized as "four-five star" establishments, with a focus on both acquisitions and management contracts. Over the next five years, Azimut Hotels aims to augment its network by 60-80%, encompassing an increase in both property count and room capacity.
The introduction of Azimut Hotels into the Uzbek market aligns with the company's status as the largest Russian hotel chain, renowned for its extensive geographical footprint covering over 40 cities across Russia. With a portfolio exceeding 60 hotels and resorts, offering a cumulative total of more than 10,000 rooms, Azimut Hotels underscores its commitment to expanding its presence and enhancing hospitality standards in Uzbekistan.
