“We must further strengthen the cohesion of the "SCO family," make the most of emerging opportunities, and consistently implement the principle of joint development,” the President of Uzbekistan voiced.

Addressing the assembly, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the pressing challenges confronting the SCO amidst a global landscape marked by unprecedented trust deficits. He stressed the importance of Uzbekistan's Samarkand initiative, advocating for enhanced cooperation in mutual security and development efforts.

"We believe that the adoption of the Code of Good Neighborliness, Trust, and Cross-Border Partnership within the SCO will bolster dialogue and deepen multilateral cooperation in this evolving global environment," remarked President Mirziyoyev.

The discussion further pivoted towards fostering strategic growth in economic cooperation among SCO member states. President Mirziyoyev noted a 20% increase in Uzbekistan's trade turnover with SCO nations last year, with a continued 15% rise since the beginning of this year.

He proposed advancing an agreement aimed at simplifying trade procedures within the SCO framework, encompassing measures to alleviate trade barriers and harmonize regulatory standards.

Moreover, in response to burgeoning trends in cross-border e-commerce, President Mirziyoyev advocated for a collaborative program to integrate digital trading platforms across the region.

“First of all, we propose to develop comprehensive measures to encourage mutual investments in infrastructure, high-tech industries, and service sectors,” the head of the state voiced.

President Mirziyoyev also advocated for bolstering industrial cooperation, advocating for comprehensive measures to stimulate mutual investments in infrastructure, high-tech industries, and service sectors. He emphasized the need for robust financial mechanisms, reviving discussions on establishing an SCO Development Bank and Fund.

Highlighting the importance of inclusive transport systems, President Mirziyoyev stressed the pivotal role of multi-modal transport corridors in regional stability and economic development, proposing a digitalization plan for logistics processes to streamline cross-border trade.

Additionally, President Mirziyoyev unveiled Uzbekistan's commitment to accelerating the development of sustainable energy infrastructures within the SCO region. He outlined ambitious plans for large-scale deployment of solar and wind power facilities, alongside pioneering projects in green hydrogen production.

Addressing the digital transformation imperative, President Mirziyoyev championed the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced IT solutions to enhance regional competitiveness. He endorsed the establishment of an SCO future technologies program to facilitate knowledge exchange and systematic cooperation among IT parks.

Looking forward, President Mirziyoyev proposed a comprehensive "roadmap" for SCO countries to collaborate on social development and protection initiatives, aiming to elevate living standards and foster rural development across member states.

Concluding his remarks, President Mirziyoyev recommended the creation of a unified electronic platform, the "SCO Food Security Atlas," aimed at consolidating information on agro-industry capabilities and product delivery capacities across member states.
