The eighth international exhibition EXPO "China-Eurasia" will take place in Urumqi, China, from June 26-30, 2024. This event will host representatives from over 40 foreign governments, including the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Following the directives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a delegation from the government of Uzbekistan, led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, will participate in the event. The delegation aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new economic cooperation opportunities.
On June 25, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov held a meeting with Ma Xingrui, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The discussion focused on enhancing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, covering trade, infrastructure development, and regional security.
Prior to the meeting with Chinese officials, Prime Minister Aripov met with the head of South Korea's Lotte Group to discuss potential investments in Uzbekistan’s sectors such as retail, hospitality, and manufacturing. Additionally, he spoke at the Council of Government Leaders of Uzbekistan, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and economic integration.
EXPO "China-Eurasia" provides a platform for participating countries to showcase their economic potential, cultural heritage, and technological advancements. For Uzbekistan, this event is an opportunity to highlight its economic reforms and investment-friendly policies.
