Uzbekistan's IT sector sees growth with 40 new export-oriented companies joining IT Park in June

Uzbekistan’s burgeoning IT sector saw growth in early June, as 40 export-oriented companies joined IT Park in the first 15 days of the month. This influx stresses the dynamic expansion of the country's IT-enabled services (ITES) sector.

Among these new residents, 17 companies were established with foreign capital from Germany, China, Japan, Greece, and other nations. The combined revenue from services provided abroad by these companies is projected to reach $9.5mn by the end of the year, targeting primary export destinations in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

This growth highlights Uzbekistan's rising appeal as a global investment destination. The total number of exporters of Software as a Service (SaaS) products and ITES services in the country now stands at 766, including 351 foreign-owned companies.

The newly registered companies primarily offer IT services, software development, design and multimedia, consulting, marketing, and contact center operations. Greece's ICT REACH, specializing in consulting services for the creative industry, became an IT Park resident. ICT REACH actively engages with markets in Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and other regional countries.

Additionally, German company HEGELMANN FLEET has set up an office in Uzbekistan to provide logistics services to clients in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. In its first year, HEGELMANN FLEET plans to create 41 jobs.

China's TRANSEURO has also reinforced its presence in Uzbekistan, offering logistics management, customer service, and support outsourcing. TRANSEURO aims to create 22 jobs during its initial phase, focusing on exporting services to China.

Feedback from foreign residents highlights the role of Uzbek government support measures and programs in their decision to establish offices in Uzbekistan. They praise the business conditions in the country as unparalleled globally. Furthermore, foreign companies commend the high qualifications of Uzbek specialists, noting their professional skills and proficiency in foreign languages, which enable swift adaptation to company operations and quick demonstration of results.
