Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov received a delegation from South Korea led by Shin Dong Bin, Chairman of Lotte Group, at the Cabinet of Ministers in Tashkent on June 13 to talk about expanding joint projects.
Discussions highlighted the strong dialogue between the two nations, which supports the development of bilateral relations. Prime Minister Aripov noted that the upcoming visit of South Korean President Yoon Seok-yol would further enhance these relations.
Lotte Group, a major conglomerate in Korea and Asia, has been active in Uzbekistan's economic development. The company's notable involvement includes the construction of the Ustyurt gas-chemical complex, a significant project with foreign investment.
During the meeting, both parties discussed expanding their joint projects. Key areas of focus included green energy, gas-chemistry, tourism, and food industries. The discussions aimed at identifying new opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships.
Prime Minister Aripov highlighted the importance of diversifying and deepening economic ties. He noted Uzbekistan's interest in adopting advanced technologies and innovative solutions from leading global companies like Lotte Group to enhance its industrial capabilities.
Shin Dong Bin expressed Lotte Group's commitment to long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan. He highlighted the group's interest in exploring new investment opportunities and contributing to the country's development goals.
