The UK is set to bolster its medical workforce by recruiting 10,000 healthcare professionals from Uzbekistan, as per to reports from the Dunyo news agency.
The initiative comes following a series of meetings held during the visit of the recruiting company NEU Professionals to Uzbekistan. Representatives from various government bodies including the Ministry of Employment, Ministry of Education and Science, and Ministry of Health, as well as academic institutions like the Tashkent Medical Academy and Medicon University in Samarkand, engaged in discussions with NEU Professionals.
Following negotiations, an agreement was reached to employ 10,000 Uzbek medical workers in prestigious British hospitals. As part of the recruitment process, applicants will undergo foreign language training to ensure effective communication in professional settings. The salary offer for these positions is reported to be $3,000 per month.
NEU Professionals emphasized that Uzbek citizens will not be confined to roles as paramedics; rather, they will have opportunities for career advancement based on their abilities, aspirations, experience, and proficiency in the English language.
