Representatives from IT Park recently convened with Ahmed Qayyum, the founder of the esteemed Malaysian outsourcing giant, UpStream BPO, to discuss the company's latest strategic move, IT Park reported. UpStream BPO, already a major player in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sector in Asia, with over 5000 employees and offices in Malaysia and Singapore, announced plans to establish a new office in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan.
Ahmed Qayyum affirmed during the meeting that the decision to expand into Uzbekistan aligns with UpStream BPO’s strategy to tap into emerging markets and capitalize on the growing economic opportunities in Central Asia. Uzbekistan, known for its strategic geographical location and dynamic economic growth, presents itself as an ideal hub for servicing both local and international markets.
The new office in Syrdarya will be dedicated to various critical business functions, including personnel management, financial technologies, cybersecurity, and general business process outsourcing. To ensure seamless integration into the Uzbek market, representatives from UpStream BPO met with counterparts from INHA University to discuss collaborative efforts in training specialists who will subsequently be employed at UpStream BPO in Uzbekistan. By leveraging the local talent pool, UpStream BPO aims to deliver high-quality outsourcing services that can compete on a global scale.
As part of his visit, Ahmed Qayyum also met with representatives from MAAB Innovation, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two entities. During the discussions, an agreement was reached to enlist graduates from MAAB Innovation for employment at the new office of UpStream BPO.
A memorandum of cooperation is set to be signed to solidify the partnership and ensure a steady influx of skilled personnel. Additionally, discussions were held at Unicall company to explore potential joint projects, opening up new opportunities for both parties involved.
