Tajikistan has announced the introduction of a visa regime for citizens of Turkey, as reported by the state agency Khovar, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, on April 15. This decision, effective from April 20, 2024, comes as a response to a similar measure implemented by Turkey towards Tajik citizens holding ordinary foreign passports.
Citizens of Turkey seeking entry into Tajikistan will be required to obtain a visa from Tajik embassies and consulates located abroad.
On April 5, Turkey declared the termination of the visa exemption policy for Tajikistani citizens holding ordinary foreign passports. Before, citizens of Tajikistan had the advantage of visiting Turkey for tourism purposes without needing a visa for a duration of up to 30 days.
