The agricultural sector stands as a cornerstone of Uzbekistan's economy, contributing to over 20% of the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan reported. In a bid to showcase the strides made in this vital sector, the 19th AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2024 international exhibition is set to kick off on March 12 in Tashkent.
Organized by Iteca Exhibitions in collaboration with its partner, ICA Eurasia Group, the event is poised to bring together a total of 135 companies hailing from 21 countries, including Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Georgia, India, Iran, Israel, Spain, and of course, Uzbekistan.
As per Oyimkhon Babajanova, Deputy Director General of Iteca Exhibitions, the exhibition's agenda promises an array of insights into the agricultural domain. The 1st pavilion of Uzexpocentre will spotlight greenhouses, fertilizers, seeds, and equipment pertinent to irrigation, processing, and storage of grain. Meanwhile, the 2nd pavilion will feature livestock products, poultry farming, and equipment related to veterinary medicine.
Babajanova further highlighted the international participation, with foreign experts constituting 94% of all exhibitors. Local enterprises are set to display fertilizers, greenhouses, drip irrigation systems, equipment for oil production, veterinary drugs, and tires tailored for agricultural machinery.
The exhibition is poised to feature a Farmers’ Day, organized in collaboration with the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms, and Owners of Household Lands of Uzbekistan. This segment aims to provide a platform for various enterprises to showcase their capabilities, with a growing number of first-time participants each year.
