Vladimir Norov, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, recently announced on his LinkedIn page that the first Uzbek-Chinese Educational Forum will be held in Beijing on January 22-23.
Strengthening Scientific Ties
The forum aims to strengthen scientific ties between universities in Uzbekistan and China. Over 100 heads of universities, representatives of science, heads of ministries, and departments from both countries will participate in this event. The discussions will revolve around various academic and scientific topics, with a special focus on the possibilities for Uzbek students to study Chinese in depth.
Embracing Artificial Intelligence in Education
One of the key topics of discussion at the forum will be the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into education. China has been at the forefront of integrating AI into its education system. This forum will provide an opportunity for Uzbekistan to learn from China’s experience and explore the potential of AI in enhancing its own educational system.
Internships and Opportunities
The forum will also discuss internships and other opportunities for Uzbek students in China. With over 2000 vacancies and more than 900 host companies, China offers a wide range of internship opportunities for foreign students. These internships can provide invaluable practical experience and exposure to a unique economy.
Cooperation Agreements
Following the forum, a number of cooperation agreements are planned to be signed. These agreements will further solidify the academic collaboration between Uzbekistan and China.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit China from January 23 to 25 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The official program of the visit includes high-level negotiations and a series of bilateral meetings to address crucial matters on the diplomatic agenda. Both leaders will engage in discussions on strengthening ties and fostering mutual cooperation between the two nations.
