In a pivotal meeting between Uzbekistan and Japan, the Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a delegation led by Ryosuke Kozuki, the State Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan, the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan reported. The talks primarily revolved around the productive partnership and highlighted Uzbekistan's dynamic and burgeoning youth population as a focal point.
The Uzbekistan – Japan Business Forum, a platform that witnessed the participation of major Japanese corporations, was lauded for its role in solidifying practical cooperation. A series of documents were signed, affirming the commitment of both nations to forge a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.
Ryosuke Kozuki, expressing his admiration for Uzbekistan's potential, stated;
"Uzbekistan has the region’s largest and youngest human resources and is the engine of economic development in Central Asia. Successful experience of Japanese companies’ participation is necessary to develop your country’s industrial potential."
The upcoming high-level event in Kazakhstan, the Summit of Heads of State in the "Central Asia + Japan" format, scheduled for April, was a key point of discussion. The meeting highlighted the importance of fostering favorable conditions to attract Japanese investments into Uzbekistan's private sector.
Emphasizing practical cooperation, the Ministry underscored its collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the professional development of civil servants, particularly assistant hokims.

The recent bilateral business forum held in Tashkent on January 10 saw over 200 companies engaging in discussions, led by Laziz Kudratov, the head of MIIT, and Japan's State Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Ryosuke Kozuki.
Discussions between the Ministry of Digital Development and Japanese delegates explored prospects of sending young Uzbek citizens to pursue IT education in Japanese universities. The forum also delved into the employment of young specialists abroad, exploring international career opportunities. Several key agreements were inked during the forum, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to fostering technological advancements.
