President Mirziyoyev declares 2024 year for youth and business in Uzbekistan

President Mirziyoyev declares 2024 year for youth and business in Uzbekistan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his New Year’s greeting to the Uzbek people, declared 2024 as the year of support for youth and business, President's Press Service reports. This announcement sets the tone for the government’s economic and social policies for the upcoming year.

'Our main tasks are to elevate human honour and dignity, ensure the population's interests, and build a strong economy,' he noted in his New Year's greeting.

    Attracting foreign investment

The government plans to intensify the attraction of foreign investment. This move is aimed at creating wide opportunities for entrepreneurship and private property. The focus on foreign investment is expected to stimulate economic growth and provide the necessary capital for business expansion.

Emphasis on science, innovation, and IT

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of the development of science, innovation, and IT. The creation of “green” and digital technologies will be given special attention. This focus aligns with global trends towards sustainable development and digital transformation.

'We will intensify the attraction of foreign investments, create broad opportunities for entrepreneurship and private property, pay special attention to the development of science, innovation, the IT sphere, and the creation of green and digital technologies in the new year,' promised the president.

    Job creation and income growth

The leader of the republic highlighted the creation of new jobs and the growth of incomes as a priority. The government plans to increase wages, pensions, scholarships, and benefits. This strategy is expected to improve the standard of living and economic stability of the population.

Continued support for women, elderly, and those in need

The government will continue its support for women, the elderly, and those in need. This commitment underscores the government’s dedication to social equity and welfare.

'Central to our focus will be creating new jobs and income growth for the population. The sizes of wages, pensions, scholarships, and allowances will increase. We will continue comprehensive support for women and the older generation—everyone needing assistance and support. We will elevate the development of the social sphere to an entirely new level,' stated Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

    Strengthening independence and armed forces

According to Mirziyoyev, the priority task will remain to strengthen the independence of the republic and the combat potential of the armed forces. This focus ensures the security and sovereignty of the nation.

    Building New Uzbekistan

'In a word, we are mobilizing all the forces and opportunities to build a new life, the New Uzbekistan,' the president said. This statement encapsulates the government’s vision for a prosperous and vibrant nation in 2024 and beyond.
