Business entities in the Samarkand region are prioritizing the enhancement of passenger transportation services by modernizing the traffic infrastructure, the Ministry of Transport's press service reports. Specifically, "Dilshodtransservis" has introduced 10 newly acquired buses from the Chinese company CRRC, designed to meet contemporary standards.
These state-of-the-art buses are currently operational on the recently established route network within Samarkand city's public transportation system. The company has ambitious plans to introduce an additional 20 buses of the same model in the near future.
Addressing the Oliy Majlis and the citizens of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized a comprehensive transformation in public transportation. Following this declaration, a significant step was taken in April, with the importation of 268 buses and electric buses from China to Tashkent.
Furthermore, it has been disclosed that Bukhara is set to receive 100 new buses and minibusses in May, while the Syrdarya region will welcome 160 new buses in early July. To alleviate financial burdens incurred during passenger transportation, "Toshshahartranskhizmat" received an allocation of UZS 18bn ($1.4mn), and it was noted that the "daily plan" on 32 bus routes in Tashkent has been discontinued.
