UzAuto Motors has temporarily halted online contracting for Chevrolet Cobalt, Damas, and Labo models, as per the automaker's press service. Originally, sales were set to resume at 14:00 (GMT+5) on December 25 through the official website savdo.uzavtosanoat.uz. However, due to technical issues, contracting opened later than planned.
In less than six hours, 31,500 contracts for the purchase of Cobalt, Damas, and Labo cars were signed. Throughout the contracting process, the UzAutoSavdo online sales system faced over 7,000 cyber-attacks, with more than 3mn active sessions recorded. Additionally, the call center processed 2,100 requests.
UzAuto Motors will resume mass car sales at 10:00 (GMT+5) on December 26. Prices will remain unchanged for Damas (from 93.1mn/ $7,508) and Labo (from 93.7mn / $7,558). However, the base configuration cost of Cobalt has increased by 18.1% to 146.7mn ($11,829).
On December 22, technical glitches, attributed to cyber attacks, disrupted the planned resumption of sales. The UzavtoSavdo system experienced a surge of requests, reaching 50,000-60,000 thousand requests per second, causing authorization processing issues and temporarily blocking the online car sales system's operation.
