Uzbekistan's Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, led by Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov, has created a national emission accounting register. The establishment of this register was agreed upon during a meeting between Minister Abdukhakimov and Taryam Matar Taryam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the transnational group of companies, Industrial Innovation Group. The memorandum signing occurred at the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai.
The Ministry of Ecology of Uzbekistan and Industrial Innovation Group recognized the importance of this collaborative effort, with Taryam expressing his pride and considering it a great honour for the group of companies to contribute to establishing the national emission accounting register.
The primary objective of the register is to integrate emission control systems and initiatives aimed at reducing emissions. By leveraging this platform, an accurate assessment of the environmental impact caused by the republic will be possible, allowing for effective monitoring and mitigation strategies.
Industrial Innovation Group, known for its expertise in designing and constructing industrial and innovative complexes, is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration between the Ministry of Ecology and the Industrial Innovation Group represents a significant step forward in Uzbekistan's commitment to environmental sustainability and combating climate change.
