In a move highlighting the commitment to strengthen the nation's defense capabilities, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, undertook a comprehensive inspection of a military unit in the Surxondaryo region.
The visit aimed to assess the impact of large-scale reforms that have been instituted in the defense system of the country. These reforms play a pivotal role in enhancing the combat potential of the armed forces and the efficiency of the military-administrative sectors.
The military unit in Surxondaryo has been meticulously equipped to elevate the combat readiness of its personnel. State-of-the-art techniques and equipment adorn educational buildings, spiritual and enlightenment rooms, as well as the sports hall.
During the inspection, President Mirziyoyev meticulously reviewed the conditions within the military unit, scrutinizing the military equipment and weapons utilized for border guarding. Special emphasis was placed on the significance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and discussions ensued regarding their production.
Comprehensive information was provided to the Supreme Commander about ongoing initiatives to enhance the potential of Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces. This encompassed measures to fortify the material and technical foundation, ensure the readiness of personnel, deploy modern weaponry, and manage UAVs along with their technical servicing.
One of the highlights of the visit was the demonstration of the flight capabilities of the "Bayraktar TB2" reconnaissance drone. President Mirziyoyev witnessed firsthand the cutting-edge technology employed in these unmanned aerial vehicles, underscoring their importance in contemporary military operations.
