Lufthansa flight LH729, originally en route from Shanghai to Frankfurt, took an unexpected detour to Tashkent International Airport. The reason for this diversion was the disruptive behavior of two passengers on board.
The aircraft involved was a Boeing 747-800, carrying 206 passengers at the time. The flight had started in Shanghai, and its intended destination was Frankfurt, Germany. However, the journey was disrupted by the actions of two passengers.
The flight crew acted promptly to address the situation. They decided to divert the plane to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to ensure the safety of everyone on board. The emergency landing occurred at Tashkent International Airport at 17:32 local time. Local authorities and law enforcement were present to assist, and a police escort was requested to the plane's ramp.
Following the resolution of the situation, the Boeing 747-800 resumed its journey from Tashkent at 20:36 local time, continuing to Frankfurt.
