In Uzbekistan, the pension (retirement) system includes 97 recipients (11 of whom are women) who participated in the war and acted as veterans during 1941-1945. This information has been disclosed by the pension fund.
Notably, among these pensioners, 28 are aged 100 and older, 13 are aged 99, and 31 are aged 98. Additionally, 21 recipients are 97 years old, 2 are 96, while the remaining 2 are aged 95 and 94.
The pension fund (retirement income) has also provided information about additional payments, compensation, and supplements for war participants and veterans beyond their regular pensions.
According to the information, they receive an additional payment equal to 150% of the basic pension amount UZS 520,500 ($42,58 ) every month.
For those aged 100 and older, as well as those older than 100, they receive a monthly supplement equal to 100% of the basic pension amount, which is UZS 347,000 ($28,38). Additionally, they receive compensation of UZS 173,500 ($14,19) for utility services instead of 50% of the basic pension amount.
Furthermore, in addition to their regular pensions, they receive an extra payment UZS 330,000 ($26,99) for food products and hygiene products every month, and once a year, they receive compensation UZS 4,950,000 ($404) for clothing and footwear products provided at 1500% of the basic pension amount.
It should be noted that there are currently 4.5 Mn pensioners and beneficiaries in Uzbekistan. The total annual cost of all types of state pensions is about UZS 53.5tn ($4bn). Monthly average expenditures amount to approximately UZS 4.5 tn ($327Mn). As of July 1, this year, there were 401,900 citizens receiving the highest pension rates and 652,900 citizens receiving the minimum pension rates in the country.
Currently, the lowest pensions in the country are as follows:
1. The minimum age-related pension is UZS 677,000 ($55,38).
2. Disability pensions, including the minimum amount for disability pensions in rural areas, amount to UZS 747,000 ($61,10).
3. Assistance for low-income citizens and child disability benefits are also UZS 747,000 ($61,10).
4. Recipients' age-related pensions range from UZS 677,000 ($55,38)) to UZS 747,000 ($61,10) above the minimum age-related pension amount UZS 677,000 ($55,38).
