A devastating fire erupted on September 28 in one of the warehouses situated in Sergeli district of Tashkent city, triggered by a powerful lightning strike. The incident has left a significant impact, with a total of 163 individuals injured and one teenage boy born in 2006 tragically losing his life on the scene, Ministry of Health reported.

Of the 163 injured, 24 individuals were immediately admitted to the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care and its branch in the Tashkent region. Additionally, patients were directed to Tashkent City Emergency Medical Hospital, Republican Clinical Hospitals No. 1, City Clinical Hospitals No. 1, and City Maternity Hospital No. 1 to receive medical attention.
For the remaining 138 injured residents, outpatient medical care was administered, and they were subsequently discharged due to their overall good health. Remarkably, there are no reports of seriously injured patients in the aforementioned medical facilities. The health status of those receiving treatment is reported as satisfactory.
In response to the emergency, the nation's leading medical specialists, including surgeons, traumatologists, neurosurgeons, neuropathologists, maxillofacial surgeons, and obstetrician-gynecologists, have been mobilized to provide comprehensive medical services to patients. The medical facilities have ensured a sufficient stock of all necessary medicines to guarantee prompt and high-quality medical care to those in need.
