Kazakhstan has resumed shipping wheat to China, media reports.
The first batch of Kazakhstan's grain was delivered to the province of Shandong, with the potential for annual grain deliveries to China to increase to 1mn tons.
The Ministry of Agriculture plans to strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector with Shandong province.
Shandong is the fourth largest province in terms of trade with Kazakhstan, after XUAR, Beijing, and Gansu Province.
Last year, the turnover between Shandong and Kazakhstan amounted to $2bn.
Kazakhstan aims to increase the volume of annual grain deliveries and offer chilled meat products to China.
Wheat is a major agricultural product in Kazakhstan, with the country being one of the largest wheat exporters in the world. Kazakhstan's climate and soil conditions are well-suited for wheat cultivation, and the country has a long history of producing high-quality wheat.
In recent years, the government has made efforts to modernize and improve the efficiency of the wheat industry in Kazakhstan. This includes investing in new technologies and equipment and improving infrastructure such as roads and irrigation systems.
The previous month, Daryo reported that Kazakhstan reduced prices for exported flour and oil, resulting in a 10.9% drop in export value in June.
Prices fell 8.6% within the CIS and 11.6% for other countries.
