Some 21 people have been reported as victims of severe flooding caused by torrential rains in Tajikistan.
"Asia-Plus" reports that four more deceased individuals were discovered during the cleanup process, bringing the total number of fatalities to 21.
Within the past 24 hours, two bodies were found in Vahdat and two in the Varzob district, one of which was a child.
Previously, as of August 30, 17 people had perished in the Vahdat area, with two additional deaths in Rudaki and Varzob districts due to the extreme weather conditions.
The torrential rain on August 27 caused road flooding and landslides in various parts of the country, including the Dushanbe-Chanak route, where multiple vehicles were damaged and road closure was necessary due to a landslide.
