President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Gary Peters, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, to discuss strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, Dunyo reports.
The parties emphasized expanding collaboration between the two nations' parliaments, growth of bilateral trade, successful examples of cooperation with American companies, and the importance of humanitarian programs.
Besides, the two sides discussed developing inter-parliamentary cooperation to promote joint projects and the upcoming first summit in the C5+1 format scheduled for next year.
