The meeting between Dushanbe's mayor, Rustam Emomali, the chairman of Tajikistan's parliament's upper chamber, and Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng on August 23 marked a significant step in strengthening economic ties between the two countries, Radio Liberty reported.
