The Defense Ministers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Ruslan Zhaksylykov and Bakhodir Kurbanov met in Aktau to discuss and expand their countries' cooperation, media reports.
According to Trend, the parties visited the military facilities of the Aktau garrison, where the joint exercises "Kanzhar-2023" are taking place.
The ministers discussed military and defense relations between Astana and Tashkent and agreed that joint activities improve efficiency and coherence in combat.
In addition, Zhaksylykov and Kurbanov stressed that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have a high potential for cooperation in military training activities.
