Uzbekistan has entered into a partnership with the Turkish company Esan Eczacıbaşı to develop the Uchkulach field, which is a polymetallic ore deposit located in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region. The CEO of Esan Eczacıbaşı, Savash Shahin, held a meeting with Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov to discuss joint projects related to the ore deposit, the press service of minitry reported.
After the meeting, an investment agreement was signed between Kudratov and Shahin, solidifying Esan Eczacıbaşı's involvement in the Uchkulach development project. As part of this project, the Turkish company will build a mining and processing complex to extract non-ferrous metals from the ore, including zinc, lead, cadmium, bismuth, and silver. Additionally, Esan Eczacıbaşı will assist in constructing a plant dedicated to processing lead-containing products near the deposit. This indicates a significant collaboration in the mining industry between the two parties.
Esan Eczacıbaşı's background shows that it has a long history in the extraction of raw materials for ceramic manufacturers, with over 40 open pits for extracting various minerals such as kaolin, quartz, zinc, and lead. Moreover, the company operates eight processing plants for fossil raw materials, showcasing their expertise in mineral processing. Their diverse product range includes over 150 items, sold not only in Turkey but also in more than 40 countries, reflecting their global presence and experience in international trade.
