Ravshan Usmanov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, met with Uzbek students who participated in the International Mental Arithmetic Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Dunyo has reported.
The competition included over 700 students aged 5 to 13 from 40 countries, representing the "ALOHA Mental Arithmetic" schools.
Among the participants were 33 students from Uzbekistan, who competed with their peers from various countries. They showcased their mathematical abilities and secured achievements for Uzbekistan.
In total, 14 students were awarded "Grand Champion" titles, and six received the "Champion" Cup. Additionally, the Uzbek representatives earned 6 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
During the official award ceremony, the Uzbek students presented a vibrant cultural performance, featuring the traditional Khorezm dance "Lyazgi," recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
