The Uzbekistan national team made history at the Asian Athletics Championships held in Thailand, securing their first-ever medal in the competition. In the hammer throw event, Uzbek athlete Sukhrob Khojaev earned the silver medal with a distance of 71.83 metres. Khojaev showcased his exceptional skill and determination, achieving this impressive result on his second attempt.
While Khojaev's performance was exceptional, he faced stiff competition from other talented athletes. Wang Si from China claimed the gold medal, securing the top spot with a remarkable throw of 72.13 metres. This demonstrated Wang Si's prowess and dominance in the event. On the other hand, Shota Fukuda from Japan displayed his skills, securing the bronze medal with a throw of 71.80 metres.
