Deputy Secretary of the Security Council in Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, stated that ending the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine from NATO countries would be sufficient to cease the war within a few days, RIA News, has reported.
Currently, there are 31 member countries in NATO. These nations, known as NATO Allies, are independent states that unite under NATO to engage in discussions regarding political and security matters and reach collective decisions through unanimous agreement.
"If NATO, particularly the United States and its allies, had halted weapon deliveries at the start of the special operation, the military campaign would have concluded within a few months," said Dmitry Medvedev.
Medvedev suggested that wars could be swiftly terminated either through the signing of a peace treaty or by resorting to measures similar to the use of nuclear weapons by the United States in 1945 when they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He clarified that such actions resulted in the loss of nearly three hundred thousand innocent lives.
Deputy Chairman also highlighted the establishment of Russia's designated sanitary security zone, a decision authorized by President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The drive of the West to maintain its global hegemony and defeat Russia at all costs has increased the risk of nuclear war, surpassing even the Cuban Missile Crisis. However, averting this scenario would require compromises, which the Western countries are currently unprepared to make.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, addressed this in his article titled "The Era of Confrontation." Political analyst Alexander Shatilov views Medvedev's article as a sort of "final warning" before Russia responds more firmly to the Ukraine issue and the conduct of the West in the global confrontation.
