The Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS) has stated that promoting tourism in Uzbekistan can be done by highlighting the unique features of each region.
One idea suggested by the experts is to use the discovery of dinosaur remains in the Kyzylkum desert as a marketing campaign. The largest predator dinosaur ever found on Earth was discovered in this region, even larger than the famous Tyrannosaurs.
Named Ulughbegsaurus Uzbekistanensis after a famous statesman and astronomer of the 15th century, Mirzo Ulugbek, and the country where it was found, Uzbekistan, the experts suggest creating a logo of the area featuring the dinosaur and developing entertainment institutions such as parks and museums with a dinosaur theme.
The specialists also recommend using modern technology to create visual programs such as shows of drones in the form of dinosaurs and color holograms.
Weighing over one ton and measuring about 7.5-8 meters long, Ulughbegsaurus Uzbekistanensis was a super-predator that dominated its early Cretaceous ecosystem.
Experts believe that using this unique discovery can significantly boost tourism in the region.
