Greece, Cyprus, and Israel are preparing for a forthcoming trilateral summit to strengthen their energy cooperation, media reports.
The event, scheduled to take place in Cyprus, is a testament to the increasingly strong bond between the three eastern Mediterranean allies, particularly in areas such as energy, defense, tourism, high-tech, and cybersecurity.
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis agreed that the trilateral conference should be arranged "as soon as possible," as they discussed the potential for further collaboration in technology and artificial intelligence.
President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, has previously characterized the relationship between the three nations as a "strategic partnership" founded on a shared vision for a prosperous eastern Mediterranean.
The summit coincides with constructing an "energy highway" that will link the national electricity grids of Israel, Cyprus, and Greece.
