Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on June 19, met with the Chairperson of Uzbekistan's Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, to discuss bilateral cooperation in developing inter-parliamentary and inter-state relations.
During the meeting, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of the first meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders from Central Asian states in developing long-term solutions for gender equality and development in Central Asia. He also welcomed the upcoming second Inter-Parliamentary Forum in Samarkand next year.
In response, Senator Tanzila Narbayeva thanked President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings from Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. She also praised the wide-ranging reforms being implemented under President Tokayev's leadership.
Senator congratulated President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful conduct of major events, contributing to the political modernization of the entire system of Kazakhstan.
