The number of flights between Uzbekistan and Turkey will increase, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reports.
Consultations between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and Turkey were held in Istanbul on June 15-16, 2023, to further develop civil aviation cooperation.
The seminar addressed the problem of international cooperation in civil aviation and its potential for growth. The problem of increasing the number of flights and adding new destinations in particular was highlighted.
During the talks, it was agreed to expand the number of weekly flights from 58 to 72. In addition, the parties agreed to establish additional aviation routes.
The parties specifically agreed that weekly air flights between Tashkent and Istanbul will rise from 38 to 50 during 2023-2024, with new routes opening: Istanbul-Karshi, Istanbul-Termez, Istanbul-Nukus, and Istanbul-Andijan. The parties signed a proposal at the end of the event.
